Dr. Sanderson began his education at the University of Wisconsin, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree before completing medical school at the University of Minnesota and a medical and surgical internship at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
He then returned to the University of Minnesota to complete a residency in ophthalmology before pursuing subspecialty training in cataract and corneal surgery at the Pepose Vision Institute in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Sanderson’s professional memberships include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
He is passionate about furthering education and understanding in ophthalmology and has published and presented numerous pieces of research.
